The European Commission has announced the adoption of the adequacy decisions for the United Kingdom in relation to the transfer of data from the EU to the UK. In doing so, the EU has recognised the equivalent levels of data protection guaranteed by the UK. The decision is valid for four years by which time it will be subject to review.
